Firebase Authentication

We use Firebase Authentication to securely verify user identities. Depending on your institution's configuration, authentication may be completed using Email & Password, Google Sign-In, or Phone Number Verification (OTP).

Firebase Authentication helps protect user accounts and prevents unauthorized access.

Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in using your Google account, we may receive your name, email address, and profile picture. This information is used solely for authentication and account management.

We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google data.

Phone Number OTP Authentication

If phone authentication is enabled, we collect your mobile number to verify your identity using a One-Time Password (OTP). Your phone number is used only for authentication and account security.

Cloud Firestore

TrackMyBatch uses Google Cloud Firestore to securely store and synchronize application data. Firestore may store information including user profiles, attendance, student records, teacher information, classes, assignments, examination data, and notifications.

All data is stored securely using Google's cloud infrastructure.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notifications such as attendance updates, homework reminders, assignment notifications, exam announcements, administrative messages, and general updates.

Notification tokens generated by Firebase may be stored to deliver notifications successfully.

Location Information

Some features may require access to your device's location. Location may be used for location-based attendance, institute verification, security purposes, and attendance validation.

Location is collected only after you grant permission and only when required for these features. You may disable location access from your device settings at any time, although some features may not function correctly.

Camera Permission

The Camera may be used to upload profile photos, capture assignment images, upload documents, and support attendance verification. The Camera is accessed only with your permission.

Storage / Photos Permission

Storage access may be required to upload documents, upload images, select profile photos, and download shared files.

Internet Permission

Internet access is required to synchronize data, authenticate users, load academic information, and receive notifications.

Notification Permission

Notification permission is used to send attendance alerts, homework updates, assignment notifications, examination alerts, and institute announcements.
